| Notes: Director: Irving Cummings; This silent epic drama depicts the historical event that took place in Pennsylvania in 1889, and is still considered to be one of the worst disasters in American history. Note that in the center of this scene, the bridesmaid, is none other than Carole Lombard, in one of her earliest, and still uncredited roles. Max Davidson is at front left, wearing one of those old fashioned, flat top, "Lithuanian" Kippahs. And the esoteric-minded fan would be interested to learn that Gary Cooper and Clark Gable also appeared in this movie, as uncredited extras! A beautiful example of a hand-tinted lobby card. |
