| Notes: Director: Peter Segal; A sweet romantic comedy starring Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore. The sweetness is provided by Barrymore, of course, that looks incredible. This is the second time the pair combine forces. The story is set in Hawaii, when Sandler is, what else, a marine veterinarian of course, and Barrymore the subject of his affection. He soon realizes that all his good efforts are for naught. It turns out that the young lady suffers from a form of amnesia – Anterograde amnesia – which in effect means short-term memory loss, thereby she has no memory of what happened the previous day. By this time Sandler is already hooked, and would not just give up, hence the title: 50 First Dates. Sandler was also co-producer and some uncredited reworking of the script. |
