| Notes: Directors: Michael Curtiz, Darryl F. Zanuck; Release of this film was delayed by some 2 years in order to allow the addition of a number of talking sequences to the initial silent picture. The current surviving print is shorter than the original by 30 minutes. The plot is a mix of the Biblical story of “ The Flood”, with a parallel story taking place during WWI. Darryl Zanuck is also credited as co-writer. The seemingly odd looking scene depicted in this Still, appears to be a depiction, or an example of the evil and wickedness of men that brought upon mankind God’s wrath in the form of the flood as described in Genesis. |
