He, as well as many of his friends in real life, that became characters in the film are Jewish, even though Scorsese chose to downplay this fact. In this Still, Jon Bernthal who portrays Brad Bonick, a local drug pusher who’s recruited and trained by DiCaprio, and later becomes a member of his morally corrupt team of stockbroker con men.
